During a post-op appointment, we may ask a patient if there was anything they would like to share with an incoming patient that is considering having the same procedure. We are always looking for any tips, or suggestions that might help make the experience better for the next patient. Here are a few of our patients&#8217; most recent suggestions:<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Liposuction<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Buy two wrapping ice packs to switch out. The first few days I was on them constantly and it really helped.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Tummy Tuck<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Have some help for a few days.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rest, and let your body heal.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Listen to YOUR body, not what others have told you.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Don\u2019t compare yourself and your results with others. Everyone\u2019s body and recovery are different.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Don\u2019t go overboard and buy a lot of things you won\u2019t need like a toilet seat riser or a female urinal. Save your money for new clothes for your new body!<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Communication is key! Reach out to your doctor if you have any issues or feel anything is off.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Don\u2019t get discouraged, the best things come to those that are patient\u2026remember the saying \u201cRome wasn\u2019t built in a day\u201d, it&#8217;s TRUE!<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Breast Augmentation<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That the implants can make a rubbing\/creaking\/squeaking noise with activity and that is normal.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Swelling can last for 4+ weeks post-op<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I found these bras on Amazon and I\u2019ve been using them after my breast aug and they are amazing! So comfy and good support: <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Womens-Sports-Wireless-Post-Surgery-Active\/dp\/B01M4RQH83\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Womens-Sports-Wireless-Post-Surgery-Active\/dp\/B01M4RQH83<\/span><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Facelift and Blepharoplasty<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Eye tip: After wetting the gauze eye patches while they\u2019re sitting in the gray container, don\u2019t oversaturate, cover the container with a clean paper towel and put them in the freezer for 3-5 minutes. Do this for the first 2 days.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Facelift tip: Water, water, water!! Since no cold compress can be used for the facelift, consistent hydration will help alleviate swelling and will hydrate your skin for proper healing.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I was not aware that there would be neck swelling.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Get the prescriptions for any after surgery medication filled prior to surgery if possible. For neck and facelift, wear the headwrap wrong side out. That will help with the indentation in the skin due to seams in the wrap. If you don\u2019t understand anything or are unsure of the procedure, call the patient care coordinator!<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We love to hear back from our patients and believe education is key when it comes to your health and well-being.
