Lash Liner

Otherwise known as lash enhancement or invisible eyeliner, lash liner permanent makeup is a very popular

treatment. Our aesthetician applies pigment in an ultra-thin line along your lash line to create a fuller, darker lash appearance.  Many who receive this treatment express that the liner creates a natural eye-opening effect. 

This permanent makeup solution can save you time in your daily routine applying eyeliner, and it can also

make you appear more youthful. 

Patient Requirements for Lash Liner Permanent Makeup 

• You must be 18 years of age for any permanent makeup service. 
• Please refrain from the use of:  aspirin, aspirin-containing medications, ibuprofen, vitamins, fish oils, or any blood thinning medication 7 days before this service.  No medications should ever be discontinued without first consulting your physician.  
• Please refrain from alcohol 24 hours prior to this treatment.      
• Please inform us if you have diabetes, cancer, or an auto-immune disorder ahead of time. If so this treatment may not be recommended for you. 
• Relief from excessive watery eyes during this procedure may be somewhat relieved by taking an antihistamine (Benadryl) one hour before procedure   
• Since delicate or sensitive skin may swell slightly or redden, some clients feel it is best not to make any social plans for a day or two following any procedure.  
• It is always best to avoid the procedure within months prior to important life events, such as a wedding. 

This Procedure is not recommended for patients:

• Who have had any recent eye surgeries in the past year  
• Who suffer with dry eyes.  Too much tearing can result in a smudged permanent line
• If your eyelids touch and hang over close to your eyelashes this can also result in a smudged permanent line and is not recommended  
• With a history of keloids
• Pregnant or nursing
• Have used Accutane in the past 1.5 years
• Had an organ transplant
• Chemotherapy in the last year
• Epileptic
• Had Botox in the past 2 weeks.
• Allergy to numbing creams, metals (such as nickel)

Lash Liner After Care: 

• Ice packs protected with  a cloth may be applied as necessary to reduce swelling. Sleeping elevated helps alleviate swelling sometimes seen the morning after the procedure.  
• Infection is very unusual. Wash your hands before touching the treated area.  A cotton tipped applicator may be used to gently cleanse the eye area.  Do not expose the area to dirty or unsanitary conditions.  
• Wearing glasses outdoors is a good way to protect new eyeliner from dust, etc. 
• You should expect a certain amount of mattering around the eye lashes and/or bruising around the eyelid margins the morning after the procedure.
• Some itching is normal. DO NOT PICK, PEEL, OR SCRATCH the treated area or your color may heal unevenly, and you risk scarring and infection. 
• After the procedure, do not apply eye makeup for three days.  Eyeliner is not to be used for the first 2 weeks. Do not use eyelash curler for two weeks.  After two weeks all regular makeup can be resumed without fear.   
• You will use bacitracin for the first day.  After the first day, apply  A&D ointment in the morning.
• Do not expose your healing skin to direct shower spray, skin creams, ointments, or lotions other than what you have been instructed to use for at least 3 days following the procedure 
• For the first 24 to 48 hours, it is not unusual to experience some light sensitivity.  The use of sunglasses is permitted and recommended.   
• After two weeks all shedding should be complete.  During this time the tattoo may appear vanished, this is a normal part of the healing process, and the pigment will re-emerge.   
• Schedule your touch-up appointment five weeks after the treatment.   
• There can be pain even after the topical anesthetic has been used. The effectiveness of local anesthetics can vary among patients.
• Topical anesthetics are used to numb the area to be treated. A mixture of Lidocaine, Prilocaine, Benzocaine, Tetracaine, and Epinephrine in a cream or gel form is typically used. If you are allergic to any of these, please inform your provider at this time.
• MRI: Pigments used in permanent cosmetic procedures contain inert oxides which may interfere with an MRI imaging. You must inform your technician of any tattoos or permanent makeup/cosmetic procedures prior to scan.
• Allergic Reaction: There is a small possibility of an allergic reaction with this procedure.
